Yuyao has attracted investors from and abroad thanks to its advantageous geographic positions and sound infrastructure.

Yuyao has convenient transport facilities, being only 45 kilometers away from Ningbo's Lishe Airport, 120 kilometers from Hangzhou’s Jianqiao Airport, and 60 kilometers from Beilun deepwater port. With the Shanghai-Hangzhou-Ningbo Expressway, Shanghai-Hangzhou-Ningbo Railway, the No.329 state highway, Ningbo-Yuyao highway and Hangzhou-Ningbo Canal running across its territory, with villages and towns densely covered by highway networks, Yuyao is knitted together with its neighbors like Ningbo and Hangzhou.

Yuyao’s telecommunications facilities are very advanced. So far, it has 150,000 lines of program-controlled telephones, and over 30,000 mobile phones. Yuyao is also rich in water and power resources. Its annual power supply has reached 1 billion KWh and the daily water supply is over 100,000 tons. In recent years, Yuyao has been conducting a large-scale infrastructure construction in line with a modernized urban setup.
